Economía política del cine: un acercamiento a los públicos cinematográficos
Abstract
ABSTRACT: The intention of this work is to present an analysis of the contributions that from the political economy of the communication and the culture can be contributed to the studies on cinema, in individual on the cinematographic public. The article comprises of an ample project whose objective is the study of the impact that take effect of the North America Free Trade Agreement of (NAFTA) has had in the supply of films in the cinemas of Monterrey, Mexico, and in the consumption and reception of Mexican films on the audiences. The method used the techniques of the documentary investigation, the analysis of content and the survey. The results show that the public who attend the commercial cinemas in Monterrey are showing a favorable consumption and reception towards the exhibited Mexican films, although the supply has been little in comparison with the exhibition of foreign films, considering like main cause the lack of a favorable regulation for the sector.
