Abstract

The historical evolution of the studies in social sciences reveal a transition which shows a sort of continuum. At the beginning the emphasis was on individual actions, and intentions of the person; after wards attention was given to the interaction between the speaker and the receiver where both people construct meaning from what they say. The main point on the next approach is the semiotic systems which are shared by both speaker and recerlver all way their interactions. In is from this theoretical perspective that this paper presents a semiotic and linguistic analysis of television interviews where the interviewees are some argentinian personalities who represent the argenian culture paying attention on the sequential structures of the conversation, the different topics, the discursive roles and the procedures elicitated used by the interviewer. The corpus provides a wide evidence of the strategies displayed by the public human being.
