La tradición identitaria en la comunicología

Abstract

This essay offers a discussion on the theorical difficulties that face the disciplines that study social communication (comunicology) when analyzing the current forms of symbolic production and reproduction. Here it is exposed the implicit assumption of a concept of identity that has become an obstacle for understanding the communicative phenomena in their diversity and differences. The author considers that this "identitary tradition" stays at the margin of the technology with a communicative rationality, inasmuch as this tradition doesn't have the necessary conceptual background to think of communication processes as a part of the political arena.
