Abstract

The global movement of resistances and networks. Communicative networks have played a relevant role in the gestation of the “movement of movements” that, based on the rejection of the neo-liberal globalization, has manifested itself on a multinational level. The relations that persons, groups and organizations establish beyond their localities, often supported by such new technologies as the Internet, allow the emergence of a counter-hegemonic, plural and versatile will, which explodes and spreads in many directions. These resistances to globalization have resorted to a variety of actions in order to become visible: from demonstrations against economic world institutions to the days of decentralized actions and cyber-activism.
