Los rumores y la cuestión de la verdad

  • Michel-Louis Rouquette

Abstract

The truth of a rumour cannot be determined by its contents alone, but by the relation between the message and a particular social identity. Furthermore, a distinction can be made between “factual” rationality and “fictional” rationality : it is the latter, embedded in sociability, which operates in social representations and in rumours.
