Abstract
In 1910, the Socialist International in Denmark proclaimed the International Women’s Day to vindicate the struggle of suffragists and women workers for their rights. On March 8th, the International Women´s Day became recognized by the United Nations and celebrated worldwide. In this article I reflect on how the 8th March´s rite is interpreted in a social network: Facebook, with divergent senses. This raises the polemic acceptance or rejection of a feminist political message. The polysemy of March 8th appears in this Facebook community.
