Abstract

Abstract: Each country will test the quality of democracy which has at the moment that organizes elections for President of the nation. It´s the case of Mexico in 2012 convened by Mexican society to choose their President for the period from 2012 to 2018 and in the democratic process, not only the citizenship was a leading actor, there were other actors such as the mass media whose role in electoral processes tend to have a strong imprint. This text refers to the behavior of media that had elections to choose President in the Baja California press, and how to materialize the strategies of political communication of the four candidates for the Presidency, Josefina Vázquez Mota by the Partido Acción Nacional; Enrique Peña Nieto, by the Partido Revolucionario Institucional; Andrés Manuel López Obrador by the Partido de la Revolución Democrática and Gabriel Quadri by the Partido Nueva Alianza.
