Economia política do cinema: a exibição cinematográfica na Argentina, Brasil e México

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this research, from the film's political economy, we will compare different media environments, such as Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, seeking explanations of a troubled period for the film because it was between 1980 and mid-1990 that the three countries experienced a sharp decline in its film production, the data on audiences fluctuated dramatically and that the cinemas, after entering into decadency, resurfaced, but now organized in a new exhibition system, called Multiplex. Thus, prioritizing the exhibition I will summarize some key aspects of this crisis periods, trying to establish significant milestones break or the cinema crisis.
