Abstract

ABSTRACT: Along the following paper we present the sanitary, social and academic interest of commercial cinema on the training of different collectives. The film Dallas buyers club (2013) has been used as a model to show the most relevant facts of AIDS. Character’s profile, interpersonal relationships, protagonist’s way of confronting the disease, medical, pharmacological and legal aspects and the sociocultural stigma that HIV infection supposes had been analyzed.
