Abstract
The writer attempts to analyze the Indian issue. He departs from the problem presented by some contemporary films and try to contextualize them with some texts -ancient and modern- which are literature, history and testimony, to establish a tragic continuity regarding Amerindian conditions. Finally, the text is a proposal of the inclusion of the indian subject in the curriculum, as an act of revolutionary importance. It suggests that it might be a way to re-read the events, to recognize the complex reality and to formulate appropriate answers which should be equally complex.
