Abstract

This text results from a set of reflections on several of the concepts raised by the interviews with participants in the multilateral and international company that sought to establish guidelines and promote normativity in a condition of inequality in the direction of information flows, the so-called New Order Information and Communication World. With this, at the nation-state level, national communication policies were established. The balance of his efforts forms the body of this publication entitled Communication: maps of memory. How many of these works, analytical categories and institutions have formed the fabric that cemented the existence of a field of research and socio-political intervention such as Social Communication in Latin America? Faced with the current dissolution of many of the assumptions that guided these remarkable precursors, their intellectual vigor should be extended and they should continue to think of communication as a possibility of emancipation.
